Welcome to the 2010-2011 School Year

Global Studies is a class unlike any other you have taken!  This class is intended to help prepare you for your continued study of history and the social sciences.  Over the course of this year, we will cover various necessary skills such as: critical thinking, reading, writing and research skills.  Throughout the year, we will focus on answering the following essential questions to help you determine who you are, what you believe, how you belong in society and how you gain and use power in society. This class, though full of important historical content, does not use a textbook.  Instead, you will be keeping a binder that will serve as your textbook.
